I have always been a wandering soul. Starting at such a young age with my whole family. We would go on summer vacations and Christmas vacations. Then when I was in my teenage years, I began to enjoy the wonders of exploring unknown places and understanding the cultures of others. I was amazed at how a language can shape a place and how people think and act. A taboo in one place, may be acceptable to another. This is the wonder of travel. It opens up to a whole new world. It makes me knowledgeable of the world. I speak many dialects and a few other languages. It's beauty to my ears.
Unlike others, I feel that I do not need to define on whether I am a tourist or a traveler. You dare not define it. Both are doing what they want to do in the first place- see the world, learn about the culture and try to fit in as a local. And this is who and what I am. I experience the world in the best way possible. I do not define and I do not want to be labeled in any other way. To say that I do not embrace conformity is an understatement. I try to be different.
Green Tea Travels was born out of my love for writing. What better way to share all my travels and adventures in the most awesome way possible - writing all about it. So here I am. With a cliche blog title that somehow I feel defines the true me. I am addicted to Green Tea and Travel. I equal it to wellness and eco-living, to zen and peace, to enjoying every moment of every day.
I do hope that as you read this, you will understand that this blog is not just all about me. It's also all about you my dear friends who i wish that as you read through my posts, I will in a way wake up that thirst for wanderlust in you.
